Checking for Interactions Between Any Drugs
PharmaClik Rx has the capability to check for interactions between multiple drugs. Interactions and companion products will be displayed for each of the drugs. This is done through the Interactions option from the Rx action button.
To complete Interaction Checking from the Workbench when no rows are highlighted, do the following:
- Ensure no rows are highlighted on the Workbench.
- Press Rx > Interactions. The Drug Interactions window will open with no drugs listed.
- Press the Add button.
- Search for and select the drugs to be checked.
- Repeat steps 5 - 6 for each drug that you need to check.
- Press the Interaction Check button.
To complete Interaction Checking from the Workbench when rows are highlighted, do the following:
- Highlight prescription(s) on the Workbench that contain the drugs you want to check.
- Press Rx > Interactions. The Drug Interactions window will open.
- The selected drugs will be listed in the window. Add any additional drugs (see steps 5 - 6 above).
- Press the Interaction Check button.
To complete Interaction Checking from Patient Folder, do the following:
- Open the Patient Folder.
- Press the Profile tab.
- Highlight the drugs to be checked.
Note: All of the highlighted prescriptions must have the same status.
- Press the Rx > Interactions. The Drug Interactions window will open.
- The selected drugs will be listed in the window. Add any additional drugs.
- Press the Interaction Check button.
To complete Interaction Checking from Rx Detail window, do the following:
- Open a prescription in Rx Detail
- Press the Rx > Interactions. The Drug Interactions window opens.
- The drug currently displayed in Rx Detail is listed. Add any additional drugs.
- Press the Interaction Check button.
