Using Snap Caps for a Patient

When a patient is flagged for snap caps, an alert is printed on file copy of the label set to alert the pharmacist that easy-to-open prescription vials should be used for this patient.

1. Open the patient's folder.
2. Press the Preferences tab.
3. Under the Label section, select the Snap Caps checkbox to indicate the use of easy-to-open caps for this patient.
4. Select the Waiver on File checkbox if the patient has signed a waiver saying they want easy-to-open caps used for their prescriptions.
5. Press the Save or OK button (the available button differs depending on how the Patient folder was opened).
