Customizing the Prescription Label
You can customize the prescription label from the Rx Detail > Extended tab. Any customizations you make in the Extended tab will be a one-time change made to that prescription label copy only. All future prescriptions for the patient will not include these changes.
To Customize the Prescription Label from Rx Detail
- When filling a prescription select the Extended tab.
- In the Label section, set your preferences:
- Vial Copies: The number of vial copies you wish to print (e.g. if you are dispensing 90 pills, and placing 30 in one vial, you can print 3 vial copies so you have 1 for each vial).
- Qty Breakdown: Indicates you will be dispensing the prescription in different vials.
- Ratio: Indicates the quantity of the breakdown you are dispensing in different vials. You must use the forward slash (/) to indicate how much will be dispensed in each vial and the quantity must add up to the total quantity being dispensed (e.g. if you are dispensing 90 pills, with 30 in each vial, your ratio would be 30/30/30).
- Shrink Label: Shrinks the size of the text on the label allowing the label to fit smaller bottles/vials.
- Language: Indicates the language that the label will print in.
- Drug Name: Indicates how you wish to have the Drug Name appear on the label (e.g. Generic & Trade, Generic, etc.).
- Note: Ensure you select the Print checkbox next to Note field.
- Print: Indicates that the text added in the Note field will be printed on the label.
- Continue filling the prescription as per normal process.
