Transferring a Prescription to Another Pharmacy

You can transfer prescriptions with a status of Complete, Amend, Amend Next, Hold, or Cancelled.

After you transfer a prescription, it remains on the Profile with a Status of Transferred and Rx#0; the authorization remaining on the prescription becomes zero and the transfer cannot be cancelled. The transferred prescription is stored on the Completed tab according to the date it was transferred.

The Prescription Transfer Report is a record of the transferred prescriptions.

Note: Make sure you select the correct prescription(s) to transfer! After you transfer a prescription, you CANNOT REVERSE the transfer. Transferred prescriptions can be refilled with new authorization.

Before you transfer a prescription to another pharmacy, you must enter the pharmacy name and address in List Maintenance.
