Adding or Removing Auxiliary Labels for a Prescription
The auxiliary labels for a prescription are based on the default auxiliary labels for the drug or mixture being dispensed. You can also choose different auxiliary labels for a prescription. A maximum of 5 or 6 auxiliary labels can be printed on a prescription, depending on the type of label set used by your pharmacy.
To add an auxiliary label to a prescription, do the following:
- Open the new or refill prescription in Rx Detail.
- Press the Rx > Auxiliary Label. The Auxiliary Label window appears.
- In the Choose From section, highlight the auxiliary label(s) to be added.
Note: To highlight multiple auxiliary labels, hold the CTRL key down on the keyboard while you are highlighting the rows.
- Press the Add button. The auxiliary labels are added to the Use for Printing section.
- Press the OK button to save changes and close the window.
To remove an auxiliary label from a prescription, do the following:
- Open the new or refill prescription in Rx Detail.
- Press the Rx > Auxiliary Label. The Auxiliary Label window appears.
- In the Use for Printing section, highlight the auxiliary label(s) to be removed.
Note: To highlight multiple auxiliary labels, hold down the CTRL key on the keyboard while you are highlighting the rows.
- Press the Remove button. The auxiliary labels are removed from the Use for Printing section.
- Press the OK button to save changes and close the window.
