Billing Smoking Cessation Program Consultations to Green Shield Canada

Pharmacists must bill Smoking Cessation Program consultations to Green Shield Canada using the PINs indicated below.

To submit a claim using one of the PINs indicated above, do the following:

1. Open an incomplete prescription in Rx Detail with the following details:
   • Patient: Patient receiving the consultation
   • Drug: A valid PIN from the charts above
   • Doctor: Pharmacist providing the consultation
   • Qty Auth: 1
   • Qty: 1
   • SIG: CONSULTATION PROVIDED BY “Pharmacist Name”
   • Days Supl: 1
2. Ensure a valid Green Shield plan exists in the Bill field (i.e. GS, G2, etc.).
3. Select the Fill button.

Note: When your pharmacy submits a claim using one of the PINs indicated above, the appropriate Service Fee will automatically be submitted.
